We have adopted the attitude of openness and flexibility for our trip. These dates are a loose structure that is meant to be changed, enhanced, scrapped, followed, etc. Moving dates, adding locations and missing flight is always an option. Instead of purchasing an around-the-world ticket, we book one flight at a time and often stay longer than planned. We value the flexibility, and the cost difference isn't much.
